The leading IT services company in Bengaluru, Wipro Limited, on Wednesday announced a new collaboration with the major American chipmaker company Intel Foundry. The collaboration with Intel’s AI chip innovation division will additionally involve Wipro engineers working on Intel’s next ’18A’ chip node, which will be used in modern electronic devices starting the following year.
According to Wipro Global Head and Business Head
Wipro Engineering Edge’s global head Harmeet Chauhan said, We are excited to work with Intel Foundry as the primary Design Services Alliance Partner. Wipro is prepared to take customer designs and use Intel18A technology right now. Our clients will gain many advantages from our collaboration on artificial intelligence and its effective application to design processes.
Wipro will make use of Intel’s robust global manufacturing network to ensure semiconductor availability by providing a flexible and geo-diverse semiconductor supply chain that helps clients in various sectors and countries solve their silicon shortage issues.
Vice President and Business Head of Wipro Limited’s HiTech division, Atul Kapur said, This fresh partnership with Intel Foundry represents a significant step towards becoming a part of the semiconductor business. As a result, Wipro is given possibilities and chip supply and manufacture are supported.

Wipro Invests 1B In AI
Wipro said last year that over the following three years, it will invest $1 billion in AI. According to what it earlier indicated, the investment will enable the business to expand its base in AI, data, and analytics skills and to develop new consulting capabilities. The market for AI chips is set to grow at an average CAGR of 38% between 2023 and 2032. The goal of Wipro and Intel Foundry’s partnership is to meet the growing demand for AI chip production as businesses struggle to release products using generative AI.
