Samsung Research and Development Bangalore has launched the New Samsung Innovation Campus programme at the Karnataka Lingayat Education Institute of Technology (KLEIT) in Hubli. The Samsung Hubli campus will teach young people in coding and programming, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other emerging digital fields.
Prof. Rajesh Hegde of IIT Dharwad and Mr Rao Goli, CTO of SRI-B officially launched the Samsung Innovation Lab at KLEIT. Other famous people involved Professor Sharad Joshi, Principal of KLEIT, Mr Srimanu Prasad Head of Tech Strategy, SRI-B, and Professor Ashok Shettar, Vice Chancellor of KLE Technological University.
Vice Chancellor of KLE Technological University Professor Ashok Shettar said, Our students will gain invaluable insights into challenges facing the industry and will learn to develop technical skills to solve them through the creation of this Innovation Centre.
KLEIT instructors and students will work on projects to prepare students for employment in addition to advanced technology training in the classroom. The curriculum aims to enable its participants to develop into well-rounded professionals by utilising technology, software skills, and developing competencies.
Samsung Innovation Campus
The Samsung Innovation Campus aims to empower youth through training, and development to contribute to India’s development. Chief technology officer of Samsung R&D Institute, Bengaluru, Mohan Rao Goli said, Our partnership with KLEIT is a stepping stone towards creating an innovation centre that brings out the potential of the youth and trainers.

Samsung Research and Development Institute Bengaluru aims to upskill approximately 100 students and professors at KLEIT annually with this programme. More than 500 students are joined in courses, with four engineering institutions in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Over 100 students have received their completion certificates.
Samsung Innovation Campus is the company’s global citizenship initiative that trains youngsters in advanced technology for proficiency differences in the nation. Eight Samsung Innovation Labs have been established by Samsung as part of the Samsung Innovation Campus plan at IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Rohee and IIT Guwahati, IIITDM-Kurnool, and IIT Jodhpur. Over a thousand students have been trained in these labs thus far.
